Are You Still Committed?

On this coming Thursday, it will be March 1st. We are now entering into the 3rd month of 2018. By now, many people are either winning in their commitments they made the first of the year and many or not.
Why do you think some people keep their New Year’s commitments and intentions and others simply don’t?

It all comes down to commitment. We are constantly making commitments and not keeping them. We start diets and by the end of the week, we’ve fallen off the wagon. We start projects, businesses, and ideas that at first excite and thrill us, yet never seem to complete them. Or perhaps we create bills and debt, but don’t pay them.

Did you know that setting an intention or making a commitment and not honoring it creates some serious ongoing energy drain? None of us needs that. It’s not good enough to just intend to do something, it must be put into action.

Take a deep breathe. There’s no need to judge yourself here. Simply become aware of how you have been showing up in life when it comes to your commitments. Then make a new choice.

I want to share with you 2 things you can do to improve upon your commitments.

1. Be clear and specific about what you want, what you are aiming for with your commitment. The more clarity you have, the more likely you will follow through. Many times we get stuck and don’t follow through because we are not really clear about what we want to achieve.

2. Get clear about “why” you want to do that thing you’ve intended to do. The more you understand your motivation for it, the more committed you will be to follow through, even if you have to build new habits that support you.

As with anything, when we get to the deepest reason for why we want to do something and we understand clearly what that something is, we will tap into the powerful motivating forces that will support our success. This experience will have more meaning for you and you will follow through and realize greater results.

What Are You Waiting On?

You know that it’s your time for you to step out and step up bigger. You have this dream that simply won’t go away.
Okay, maybe you’ve been playing at it somewhat. And you’ve experienced a little success with it.  Oh, alright…maybe you’ve had great success with it. But you know deep within that it’s time to play bigger. It’s time for you to LEAP!
It’s time to move in a direction that you don’t think you have the qualifications. Yet, the pressure is building because you sense it’s time to make a move and that’s exactly the direction you should go.
You’re in what I call, The Divine Ache™. The Divine Ache™ is a nagging feeling that set right in the middle of your stomach, around your navel area. It’s not necessarily a pain, but an ache. The ache symbolizes a new idea, a new vision or dream that is waiting and wanting to be birthed.  You know in order to give birth and get rid of the ache, you’ve got to make a move.
The thing is…this move will require that you walk away from somethings…and some people. YES! I said it. There are people in your life right now that you know you cannot take with you to that next level. I didn’t say they could never go…just NOT right now.
Because they can’t handle the level you are moving towards and taking them with you would abort the mission. It’s because their energy is just too heavy to go with you. But once you are there and your footings are sure…there will be some people (not all) that you can reach and bring there with you. Simply because you love them.
There are also other things you will need to walk away from. It could be your current position at work or a business that you’ve done for years. You keep feeling and sensing that this current  journey has completed itself and it’s time to move on. At least this level.
There’s a new, fresh and relevant idea that’s been trying to emerge from within you. Could it be that your dream is changing, expanding or moving in another direction?
Of course you’re thinking, “It can’t be because I’ve been told that what I am now doing is my God given purpose?”  So you think you can’t move away? Do you really believe that God can give you only ONE DREAM?  We’re talking about God, Right? Infinite Power. The Creator of the Universe. Right? Are you trying to put God in a Box? Surely not God.
The other reason you keep pushing this dream away is because what you are currently doing pays your bills. You are not willing to risk losing that income. Plus it’s what you are comfortable doing. It’s what you are good at doing and it’s what you’re known for. Why would you want to start over at this age and in this season of your life?
Maybe because it’s time. Perhaps because God can dream a bigger dream for you than you can for yourself. At least that’s what Oprah says and we all know she knows. LOL…just joking.
Seriously,  this is a new season for you and it requires a new level of trust, faith and courage. It’s uncomfortable and you are not good with feeling uncomfortable or unsure. However, when you are still and quiet, that idea, that new vision keeps resurfacing. When you really sit with and think about it, you can feel the fear, the joy and the peace all at the same time.

Yet, when you resist these thoughts and ideas, an underlying restlessness and discontent surfaces because you know as long as you ignore the Divine Ache™, you are compromising your own integrity and truth. Therefore, you are ready to give birth to that next level. You are ready to walk down that invisible road.

What are you waiting on? Go ahead, take you walk Awakened Beauty!

A New Year Message

Happy New Year!  It’s the time of the year when we all feel like we have a fresh start. A new beginning. And it feels good.

You’ve perhaps made some intentions and goals such as losing weight, exercise more, get out of debt, make more money, better your relationships, go back to school, launch a business, expand your business, get a new job or promotion, find true love, get rid of what you thought was true love and etc.

Whatever your goals, you’re probably feeling pretty good right now. But how do you keep this good optimistic feeling throughout the year when life shows up unexpectedly and tries to throw you off course?

That’s the million dollar question, isn’t it? Because we’ve all been right here before. As a matter of fact, we were just here last year this time. And many of us got derailed and thrown off course.

How do we prevent this from happening again?

The answer is simple. You can’t prevent this from happening.

Life is about cycle and seasons.  The natural world dances to the music of change, the day turning to night and the change of seasons. Understanding this universal law helps us to understand that whatever rises, will fall and rise again.

The winds of change will come this year. Just as it did last year and every year. It may come as a fierce hurricane, ripping through your heart, or a tender breeze that caresses your cheeks. Sometimes life can feel like a blessing and other times like a curse. It’s simply the truth.

How we master change is that we learn to align ourselves with the cycles of time. We do as the natural world does, we dance to the music of change.  We become acutely aware of what’s happening so that we can make the right choices in alignment with the change.

This doesn’t mean that you will not achieve your goals that you’ve set for yourself. It simply means that you are readying yourself for what shows up so that it doesn’t derail you and prevent you from living your dreams. When you resist change or even try to force change before its time, you create more struggle. But when you learn to flow with change, align, be flexible, you will see your dreams unfold naturally.

You must know when to act, when to be still, when to talk, when to be silent, when to work, when to rest, when to build and when not to build. It’s called going deeper to find that reservoir of wisdom, courage and fearlessness that keeps you steady and moving in the right direction. I must warn you that you can’t always truthfully know what to do. Because you run the risk of giving into your erroneous beliefs and former programming that will always prevent you from moving forward.

This is why, this year, you will do something new…something different. You will align yourself with a mentor/coach to help you navigate through the waters of change. This person helps you to see your blind spots, new perspective and another way. Because if you don’t, you run the risk of sabotaging your success.

I would never attempt to navigate life without someone to help me. Someone who believes in me when I can’t believe in myself. Someone to hold that space for me to shine. I recommend that you do the same. If there was one thing that I would tell every woman to do this year, to ensure her success…it would be to find that one person to help her on the journey. It’s the game changer.

So, enjoy this season. It’s the best feeling to know that you have a new beginning. Remember this moment, because when the season begin to change, you want to take this feeling, this moment with you and move with the winds of change.

What’s the one thing you want for your life in 2018? Share it below.

The Year of The Awakened Woman.

Let’s face it. Our world is in trouble. We’re in a crisis.  Yet, we know that crisis always proceeds transformation.

And one thing for sure, our world is in need of transformation. As a heart centered entrepreneur, I am always looking for ways to better serve my clients, my community, my country and the world.

I want to see us get it right. I want to see us live in harmony, peace, abundance and love with each other. Some say that I’m dreaming. I say that this is how dreams are made. You hold these images in your heart and find ways to participate in making them a reality.

I believe our next level of change and transformation will be lead by women. Not just women, but Awakened Women. The Awakened Woman is one who has arisen from her sleep and is now owning her strength, her power and her voice to speak and give life back to things that are dying or have died.

So much has died in our midst. But this is about to change. I have declared 2018 The Year of the Awakened Woman.  The stage has been set. Never in human recorded history has there been the perfect time for an UNKNOWN to come on the scene with a new, fresh, and relevant message of change, transformation and hope, than it is right now.

Bishop Desmond Tutu wrote, “Our earth home and all forms of life in it are at grave risk. We men have made a proper mess of things. We need women to save us.”

And while the time is right for us to step up, there’s some things we must do first.

3 Things I Suggest We Must Do:

1. Heal Your Daddy/Mother Wounds. If we don’t face and heal the pain of our primary foundational relationships, we will miss our window of opportunity to usher in this new world cultural story that only women can do. These relationships shape our identity.  We must heal them in order to awaken to the truth of who we really are.

2. Find Your Authentic Voice: It’s time to dig deep and listen to the language of your heart and not the inner negative chatter of our mind. It’s in your heart where your true authentic voice lives.

3. Discover Your Message: We all come into this world to share a message with the world. It’s up to you to find out what your message.. I can tell you that your message is wrapped up in your life’s story.

4. Find a Vehicle: I believe that entrepreneurship is the best vehicle for creating change. Most women start businesses with the intentions of creating change in the world. Launch that business, wrap your message in it and fulfill your purpose.

The woman who will hear this will respond and react with a maternal concern to the pain and suffering of others. Especially those who are vulnerable and powerless. This is a collective bigger story about being an Awakened Woman in the 21st Century.

Has Your Woman Hear Me Roar Turned Into a Meow?

I’ve been out here a for a minute as a full time entrepreneur. Thirty three years to be exact. I have had my share of failure and successes. I’ve been in the penthouse and the dog house. I’ve studied under and learned from some of the best in the business world. I’ve been coached and mentored by household names.
Over the years, I’ve seen business change. Much of it for the better and some for the worst. I’ve heard that because of the internet, we can collapse time and do more. While this maybe true, there’s also a lot of cons to this who internet and social media craze when it comes to operating a business.
There are many business and success gurus that are teaching us the latest techniques for getting our brand to the masses. We’re told that if we don’t do certain things and do it regularly and often that we will not create the kind of success that we desire.
So what do we do? We create a Facebook and Linkedin profile, an Instagram page, Twitter, Youtube and for many you’ve added some others. Now, you’ve got to learn how to use all of these effectively to get prospects to look your way. You now need to get people, lots of people to follow you, like your posts and etc. You’ve been told this is real marketing.

Then there’s your website. You must have a website? Right? Not only a website, you need a stand out logo, brand colors, banners, business cards, brochures, post cards and etc. Are you tired yet? Hold on a minute, because you’re not finish.

You’ve got to drive traffic to your website, get SEO and build a massive email list. Because you’ve been told that you can only earn good money if you have a big email list of at least 5,000 or more. There’s more. Like conference calls, google hangout, Facebook Live, uploading to Youtube, answering emails, text messages and returning phone calls.
Next, you are told to do live events, create a product and write a book in order to gain entry into mainstream. Okay, take a deep breath. Just breathe because there’s more. Does this sound familiar to you? It’s enough to drive a woman insane. Even though you’ve hired assistants and virtual assistants, your hands and your head is about the explode. Because you still have much more to take care of than just your business.

There’s groceries to be purchased, dinner to be cooked, laundry to do, homework to look over, taking the dog to the vet, dance classes and sports for the kids. Who has to do it? Most often we do. Not to mention, you having to deal with hot flashes, thighs getting bigger, girlfriend drama and you can’t forget getting in the time and sex with your husband. Whew! Are you tired yet? Is there any time left for you? Is there time to sleep?..not only sleep, but to rest.

You’re trying to be the “Boss Lady” “The Woman hear me roar.” But you can only belt out a whisper of a “Meow.” That’s because you’re overwhelmed, overworked and overloaded. Can you truly be happy and physically thrive in this kind of rush?
So many women entrepreneurs can relate to this and so have I in times past. But it was within the past few years, that I discovered these strategies were simply too masculine for my system. They were killing me and many other women.

When women try to tap into strategies that are not in alignment with their feminine essence, the truth of who they are, it can become draining and depleting. Oftentimes resulting in illnesses. As a result, you’re tired emotionally, feel stuck, used, abused and you still are not seeing the results that you’d hope to see.

As we continue to evolve, it’s important to understand that doing business from a deeper place is necessary to ensure permanent success in our lives. As I was working so hard from a masculine energy, I would experience success. Yet, that success would not be permanent because I would have to work even harder to keep it.

I simply didn’t want to continue on this up and down roller coaster. As women we want much more than overwhelm and our heads filled with all the things we have to do next. We want success in the boardroom and the bedroom. At least this is what I wanted. I wanted to know that my business would be successful and my family life would be successful.

I wanted to know that I could work and play with ease and grace. I wanted time and money freedom, but I wasn’t interested in implementing strategies that simply were not authentic or natural to my system as a woman.

This is why I created my Awakened Life Journey experience. It’s for the woman who is ready to dump all of that stuff that no longer serves her feminine power. It’s for the woman who knows there’s another way that speaks to the core of who she is. It’s not just a program filled with feminine strategies that work for women, it’s a way of life. It’s a lifestyle. It’s the Awakening to your truth. The truth of who you are, the truth of what’s possible for your life and the truth of actually achieving it without the stress, strain and overwhelm. When you Awaken Your Life, you open the flow of infinite possibilities for your life. The women in this program with me have started to see a new paradigm for working and living.

I’ve been able to reduce my work time down to 3 days a week when I’m not traveling or doing events. In these 3 days, I am able to accomplish much more, attract and manifest more money, more love and more success that ever before. You’ve heard the phrase, “It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it.” I have a new phrase for you. “It’s not what you’re doing, it’s who you’re being.” Living the Awakened Life is more about WHO you are. When the shifts happens, life and business becomes so much easier.
You have only one life to live. Are you sure you want to live it in chaos, confusion, stress, and overload? This keeps you on empty and you cannot give to others out of an empty cup. I’m not saying that my Awakened Life Journey is the ONLY way…but it sure is Another Way. It’s a new journey. But it’s a journey worth taking.
