Today, as we celebrate the birthday of a remarkable man and leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I am reminded of the level of commitment and sacrifice it takes to not only build a dream, but live a dream.
With so much noise in the market place about dream building and success, it’s important to remember that many of us are able to build dreams because Dr. King lived his dream. His dream of seeing black people treated justly in a world where we didn’t have a voice. It was his life’s assignment and work. Although he understood the cost involved, he was still willing to say “yes” to his divine calling.
What about you? Are you busy building your dreams or are you truly living your dream of using your gifts to make a difference in the lives of others?
These are just some of the questions that I would like for you to consider on this beautiful day of celebration of Dr. King’s Birthday. You are an amazing divine masterpiece with many gifts that the world anxiously awaits. Live the dream!
